she comes from a down-to-earth and not wealthy family, however she has her life easy on the street. moa's small family consists of father, mother, one little sister, and one little brother who is only 7 years old. his father works as a machinist, while her mother is a freelance tailor. a portrait of a happy family, where the parent's love and affection color their sweet children's everyday life in season and out of season. |
but one's story will not always be full of rainbows without having the rain come once in a while, don't you think? because a tragic incident fell upon the family of yanagi when moa was still a 9 years old little girl. their precious daughter had an accident during the summer school trip, where she tripped and plunged into a ravine when she was playing alone in the woods. moa suffered a serious head injury and had to be in a coma for 2 weeks straight without any positive progress. |
day by day, both the family and the medical team were getting desperate. it seemed like there was no more hope left, and they had to be prepared for the worst—until the medics decided to revoke all the medical tools which were supporting moa's life. giving up and letting go of their little child must be tough and painful, however seeing her have to live with the help of such tools was just as heartbreaking. thus it was the thing they had to do, for moa's sake, too. |
however, do you know? god is undoubtedly righteous and merciful. after all the difficult moments that befell them, a miracle happened just at the perfect time. moa miraculously regained consciousness on day 15 of her treatments. |
moa comes back to life, but along with a blessing: the seventh sense, which she always hides from other people. it is the ability to see signs of someone's inevitable death seven days earlier. and it does not stop there, moa is able to see spirits and ghosts too with that ability of hers. |
once she graduates from high school, she starts to seek jobs that she can do while studying. moa first worked as a model for a children's dairy product before finally getting an offer to be a master of ceremonies (mc) in a private television station. aside from working as an mc, moa occasionally helps teachers in the elementary school near her house for more earnings. |
